What to visit

I am all for spending longer in one place, getting to know an area and doing the things the locals would do, instead of going to as many places as possible just to tick them off. That is one of the reasons why au pairing really suited me, I knew it provided the opportunity to spend a longer time in one space, with the advantage of living in a family environment, which can introduce you to many new people, foods, attitudes and experiences.

Sydney was incredible for sightseeing. I was a very fortunate au pair to work four days a week, and most of my three days free were spent sightseeing. In seven months, I was never short of something to do.

Here is a list of attractions and activities I did in and around Sydney:

  • Bondi beach (has to be first!)
  • Bondi to Coogee beach walk (Bondi, Bronte, Tamarama, Coogee)
